First day around Delhi!  While Kunal chose to go out last night with the guys, I opted to lay low at home and rid myself any risk of jet lag- and a fabulous winning point for me. Started the day off strong with coffee and an Indian breakfast of paraunthi (ground cauliflower and other veggies cooked into a thin crepe?) with yoghurt.  Spent a little while at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, home of the Qutb Minar. The beautiful Minar marked the site of the first Muslim kingdom in Northern India and is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Monument. The ruins around the park were amazing preservations of the intricate architecture and design of the time and was a pleasant surprise for the first full day in Delhi. We headed for some lunch and shopping at the GK I market- a traditional open 'mall' or marketplace in the area. Met some family friends and mainly became overwhelmed by the exciting adventures that lay ahead on the tour in the next few days.  Now after a hot shower and the best nap of my life, we're getting ready for a family friend's birthday and some Bollywood dancing! If you're lucky, there just might be some post-party blog updates! One thing I've learned in the last 24 hours, never question or challenge an Indian with alcohol. Enough words for now, hopefully I can figure out how to post these pictures and let them speak for themselves! Namaste.
